new additions to the Motif Zone: on-line X11R6 manual pages

Post by David B. Lew » Tue, 25 Aug 1998 04:00:00

The Motif Zone has made manual pages for X11R6 available on-line. The man
pages for the libraries and for the programs are included.

The manual pages are fully hypertext'ed i.e. they include internal links, so
that you can jump from one function description to another or from one data
structure description to another. The original files come from the X11R6
sources and were converted to HTML for on-line reading.

The Motif Zone offers these pages in recognition that most documentation
searches involve looking at several different manual pages. The Web, in
combination with hypertext'ed pages, provides a good means for traversing
from one page to another.

The manual pages are available at
http://www.motifzone.com/resources/man/top.html or go to
http://www.motifzone.com/ and follow the frames to Resources, Developers,
Documentation, and X Window System.

The Motif Developer is hosted at The Motif Zone, the definitive resource
for Motif developers; The Motif Zone is at http://www.motifzone.com/ .
