I was able to get this setup working quite well.  The mouse is
a PS/2 mouse.  I set /dev/mouse to be a symbolic link to /dev/bmouseps2.
The other relevant parts of the XF86Config file follow.
Note the commented out lines in the monitor
section -- these were taken from one of the example XF86config
files -- they were supposed to work for an NEC4FGe, but they
did NOT.  I used the ModeLine's for the NEC4FG, and these worked
fine.
