Cygwin on Windows 2000

Post by Kenst » Mon, 16 Jun 2003 08:07:05

I'm at my wits end, and I'm hoping someone out there can help.  I've
got a Linux box running Mandrake 8.2 and a Windows 2000 system with
Cygwin installed, and I can't get the Cygwin Xfree86 component to
connect to anything.

I'm running the same setup elswhere, and connect without issue, and
can connect to the Linux box with Cygwin xwin from other W2K systems
at other locations, and can even connect to the Linux box from the
Windows 2000 system in question through another xdmcp client package
(MicroImages Xserver).

When ever I start the xwin component (by typing xwin -query <ip
address>&, a window comes up but just stays blank with the X mouse

Any help is greatly appreciated

1. KDE2 binaries for Windows 2000 (with cygwin)

Hi there,

I'm looking for KDE2 binaries for my X-Server under Windows 2000.
Does somebody know where I can get it? If there ain't published yet,
can I simply compile the sources available or do I need to modify
something. In this case: what?

Thanks in advance!
