Very Computer

I'm playing around with the Slackware '96 Linux (downloaded, not from CD),
and I'm having trouble getting XF86 to use my card in SVGA.  Of course I
don't have any problems using the VGA16 server.  I've read the README and I
have a few more settings to try, but one error that see often is
(paraphrased - please forgive me, I'm at work) _X11ServerUNIX????:?????:
errno = 111 (the ?? is where I can't remember what it says - I can get it
if necessary).  My monitor is a no-name brand non-interlace SVGA, and my
video card has 1M of RAM.  Any help is appreciated.

BTW, I'm also downloading Red Hat 4.1 to play with next week - it sounds
more like what I'm looking for.

Wouldn't you know it - You work on something for two weeks and can't get it
to work.  You call for help and that night you happen to hold your tongue
in the right position and find the right combination!  Go figure!
