no gnome main menu with tcsh

system: suse 7.2, gnome (must be 1.4)
problem: when adding a new user with /bin/tcsh, that user doesnt get the gnome
main menu on his panel. with /bin/bash, there are no probs.

anyone any idea? TIA

Do you mean you create the user using useradd, or that you're creating a
user who has tsch as his default shell?

If you use yast to set up the users, this should all be taken care of by
suseconfig.

i did create the user with yast and gave him the /bin/tcsh as his default
sh. the same effect appears when creating a new user with /bin/bash and then
changing to tcsh.

sorry for that long break, but i was on vacation ... :)
