X3.1.2D and Xkb

: When I start X, everything is fine.  As /soon/ as I hit a keystroke, X
: terminates, and I get the message:

: xterm: can't resolve symbol 'XkbLookupKeySym'

: Any clue how to fix this?

: BTW, Devlopers:  Great job with the 9440, thanks again.

you need to change 4 simlinks in /usr/X11/lib directory
There are 4 updated files that have a 6.1 extension instead of 6.0.  remove the
these 4 old simlinks which still point to the 6.0 versions. and relink them to
the 6.1 versions.  this should correct the problem.

I did! And still can't get my xterm work! I've got the same problem with
lots of xapps and xdm. When I start xdm, it comes up, but nothing
happens at the keystrokes, I cannot log in. :-(((

I would appreciate any help very much!!

I had similar problems, but they vanished when I installed the libraries and
removed old libX11.so.6.0, libXaw.so.6.0, libXext.so.6.0 and
libXtst.so.6.0. For some reason, they were used instead of the new ones.

But: how does the xkb work? Now my keyboard think it is some US version,
instead of finnish one it was before. There seems to be a file named fi in
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb/symbols, so it seems I could use finnish keyboard BUT
HOW?
