ATI-TV card - will it work with RH 6.1?

OK,

I've got an ATI-TV ISA card.  Works fine under, ahem, Win98.  Sorry.
Trying to ween myself but this card represents the 2nd TV in my house
and I'd like to see it running under Linux.

Can I get it to work under RedHat 6.1?  The ATI site is singularly
unhelpful.

Anyone out there had success?

ATI-TV card - will it work with RH 6.1?

Yes...and No.

I'm using the PCI ALL-IN-WONDER 128, RedHat 6.1, XFree86 3.3.6 and KDE
(version with RH6.1).  It was all working beautifully (with help from
http://www4.ncsu.edu/~distclai/rage128-howto.html).

To get the TV part working, go to
http://www.core.binghamton.edu/%7Einsomnia/gatos/.

This also worked beautiful, I was watching TV in Linux in no time,
however, the next time I started X my KDE was completely messed up.  The
'start' menu was not there, but when I clicked in the normal location of
it, it appeared in the middle of the screen.  Artifacts appeared
everywhere.  I switched from KDE back to twm, but it is messed up as
well.

This happened orginally with RH5.2 as well.

Uninstalling Gatos and X and re-installing X as not helped.  My only
clue, is on bootup now, the X font server is failing to load.

I've informed the GATOS team but no response yet.
