You don't need any special drivers for Linux but you do if you want
to run X. XFree86 does not support Matrox cards but there is a very good
commercial X-Server from X-Inside called Xaccel, which supports Matrox
video boards. Check out ftp.xinside.com or http://www.xinside.com. The price
is $99 for Linux users.
