I booted w/ xdm and everything is fine, except when I open a color_xterm,
the colors for files (ala DIR_COLORS), are not read correctly. This
results in an incorrectly colored ls listing. Any thoughts?

1. xdm problems with color_xterm
Why would color_xterm and only (so far) color_xterm
and not when I run X from startx?
Is anybody else in the world who runs xdm having
problems like this at all?
Am I alone? Is my computer deliberately trying to send me nuts?
Am I hallucinating?
