I would personally recommend a different SLIP/PPP emulator: SLiRP

First of all, it's free (sorry if you've already spent the $$$ for TIA.)
One of the best things about SLiRP is the fact that it allows you to set up
an X interface on the host machine that actually runs across the
emulator and back to your machine.

You can download SLiRP from: http://www.acs.appstate.edu/~tm11369/slirp.html

If you need assistance configuring it and your Linux dialup client, let me
know, and I'll be glad to give you a hand.

I'm using a DIP chat script to connect via ppp to concentric.net.  I
understand that concentric.net uses an emulated ppp via TIA.

If that helps you any, I'll be happy to send you the script.
