1. problems with X-window screens and fonts

Hi,
I am new to Linux and just installed Redhat 4.0. I am having few
problems with X-windows. The virtual screen size seems to be bigger than
my actual screen size, so the windows and menubar are only partially
visible in my screen (I have to move the cursor to access other
region). How to set the virtual screen size so that I can view the whole
region on my screen. Another question is how to set the font size in my
xterm?

Please advice me in this regard. Thanks in anticipation.
