Do anyone have an idea how to run this video-card with xfree? There should
be a driver in version 3.3.2 but i can not find it (using Suse).

Thanks,

Use the I128 server in XFree 3.3.2. There's one bug with that X server
since it's so new. You can drop to a shell using Ctrl-Alt-Fx, but you
can't come back to X or it will lock up. Just a warning. Otherwise it
runs great.

Hi Ti!
Thanks for your reply!
I tried the I128 server but got either a black screen, or a black screen
with many white squares.
I downloaded the last I128 server and the last xfree86 (both 3.3.2-7) but
got the same result.
Do you have any idea how to solve the problem?

I'll send you my XF86Config file. It seems this card is quite picky when
it comes to its settings. I'm using XFree86-3.3.1-14 for this card and
it's working like a champ (XAA and everything) the only thing is there
is no power_saver Option for this chipset, but XFree86-3.3.2pl3 is
coming out/is out rsn and maybe it is fixed there.

Do you have any problems switching to virtual console and back?

Yes I do. I guess it's just a bug with that chipset. It drops to the
console fine, but if you try to switch back to X it locks rock solid.
Maybe it is fixed in pl3 (whenever it comes out).
