I have an AMD Thunderbird Athalon 1000 MHz with 256 MB RAM & ATA-66 HDD.
Qt 2.2.0 compiled in 9 Min 58 seconds.
That was from, make clean; configure; make
WOW!!!

In comparison my dual PII 266 with 128 MB RAM it takes about 2 hours.
My 486sx 25 with 8 MB RAM has been compiling now for 2.5 weeks.

It is not my computer, but I am thinking I need one now.

Holy God, 2.5 weeks?? I don't think I'd have to patience to know that was
running for so long... heh... Just to add to the list of times you have
there- AMD K6-III 400Mhz takes a little over an hour an a half usually...
sometimes it's a lot faster, sometimes a lot slower.

A friend of mine has a Mac G4 with LinuxPPC, but I have not got him to
compile Qt yet. He is still playing with the boot stuff.
As soon as he gets it to compile I will post the time.

Compile times are the only benchmark that I am interesed in on
computers. I would realy like to know what a G4 can do.

PS. Windoze 9x still holds the record for GPF benchmark and blue screen
rendering.
