Hi Linux users:
Some 3 months ago I purchased Linux Universe, 3rd. edition, a "fully
configured Linux system on 2 CD-ROMS" by Stefan Strobel, Rainer Maurer
and Stefan Middendorf, published by Springer.
Since I had already successfully installed Red Hat linux (ver. 4.2, the
latest), I did not anticipate any difficulties in installing the "Universe" on the same
computer but on a different directory.
Well, the installation of the "Universe" came to a holt with a "PANIC"
message. I was not dismayed - such things happen as we all know.
But here is what enraged me so much:
for an advice. My message was ignored.
3 weeks later I e-mailed again. My e-mail was ignored again.
After 3 more weeks I e-mailed the authors for the 3rd. time.
ALL my e-mail messages were not acknowledged (nor did they bounce back...)!!!
I thought that such a menifestation of bad attitude should be brought to
the Linux community.
