I think I have tried about everything now. But X only
starts in 640*400 in 16 colors.(And it sucks!)

Does anyone have any Idea what I'm doing wrong.
I'm running the Xfree that came with Linux 3.0.0

I probably have the same card with yours as well, which is ATI Graphic
Pro Turbo 4MB VRAM.
Please forget about the Mach64 X server in Xfree 3.1.2. It really
sucks.
And, please get the X server of version 3.2, it works much much better.

I'm currectly running 3.1.2 at 16bpp 1024x768 right now with
no problems. I have a ATI Xpression VLB w/2MB.
