by I recently installed Slackware and am having some trouble getting the mode
correct for my Samsung SyncMaster 6NE 17" monitor.
The 640x480 works fine, but yuck!! Too small. I am trying to get 800x600 and
1024x768 to work, however everything I try comes back with no valid modes. I
have gone through the various documents (VideoModes.doc, modeDB.txt and
Monitors; all included in my cd distribution) with no luck.
The stats I have are as follows:
Synchroniztion:
Horiz. 30 - 65 KHz
Vert. 50 - 100 KHz
Maximum Video Bandwidth: 85MHz
Anyone out there willing to help someone figure out how modes work? Please let
me know what other information I can provide. I do have all my hardware
documentation.
