Hi, I have compile and install the driver of nvidia 1.025:

NVIDIA_kernel-1.0-1251
NVIDIA_GLX-1.0-1251

But it have the following error:
......
(II) LoadModule: "glx"
(WW) Warning, couldn't open module glx
(II) UnloadModule: "glx"
(EE) Failed to load module "glx" (module does not exist, 0)
......
(II) Module ramdac: vendor="The XFree86 Project"
        compiled for 4.1.0, module version = 0.1.0
ABI class: XFree86 Video Driver, version 0.4
(EE) NVIDIA(0): Failed to load glX
(II) do I need RAC?  No, I don't.
......
(==) NVIDIA(0): Write-combining range (0xe2000000,0x2000000)
(EE) NVIDIA(0): Failed to initialize AGP
(II) NVIDIA(0): Using XFree86 Acceleration Architecture (XAA)

Have anyone encounter same problem? How to solve?
I compile my driver with gcc3.01 and glibc 2.2.3, kernel 2.4.8

remove /usr/X11/lib/libGL.* (or, even better, rename them or move them
somewhere they can't be found), they are interfering with the nvidia
driver

You mean /usr/X11R6/lib/libGL* or /usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.*??
I have no /usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.* but only /usr/X11R6/lib/libGL*:

ls: /usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.*: No such file or directory

1. Nvidia drivers give me "Failed to verify AGP usage" error.

I got a new mobo x'mas and I'v been unable to get my GeFore2 MX card
to work (well, the 2D works just fine).  But I can't run any opengl
stuff.  :(  In my /var/log/XFree86.0.log file I have the following 2
errores:

(WW) NVIDIA(0): Failed to verify AGP usage
(EE) NVIDIA(0): Failed to load GLX

If there is another section (or the whole thing) just say so.

The mobo is a k7s5a incase there are any issues with it.

TIA
