Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server ERROR

Post by Gary Ulias » Sun, 10 Jan 1999 04:00:00

In RedHat 5.1, after logging into my ISP and pulling up Netscape 4.5, I
can't run any new X apps.
I get the following message:
Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: Client is not authorized to connect to Server
Error: Can't open display: :0.0
What could be wrong? Everything's fine before I pull up Netscape. Please
help.

1. Netscape error: Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server...

It continues...

Xlib: client is not authorized to connect to Server
Error: Can't open display: :0.0

I seem to remember running xhost or something like that to trick
Netscape.  Any ideas?

Thanks,

Robert
