Very Computer

I have tried every XFree86 possible config for my ATI 3D Rage II LT Pro and
MV 500 monitor but to no avail...

If anyone has any suggestions or encountered a similar problem please let me
know at:

I would like graphics so I can move on to the next problem in getting my
system configed. :)

Do you have the repeated left side of the screen problem?

Anyways I've found out that the trick with this card and XFree 3.3.3.1 is
to make it look like an older rage so that some of it's features aren't
(mis)used:

Add the following device section to XF86Config and use it for the accel
entry:

Section "Device"
    Identifier  "Mach64 LG (3D Rage LT)"
    VendorName  "Unknown"
    BoardName   "Unknown"
    ChipID 0x4754
    ChipRev 0x01
    #VideoRam    2048
    # Insert Clocks lines here if appropriate
EndSection

The Chip thingies do the trick. I found this on the web, so don't ask but
it works for me (tm)
