Hello,

Has anyone upgraded to X11R6.4 yet?

After all, now it's once again freely distributable.

Would there be much point in an upgrade?

The problem is that the base sources to the Sample Implementation of
X11R6.4 only includes support for a limited set of display devices.

The XFree86 Project has been the organization involved with integrating
in support for the manifold PC display adaptors. They are apparently
working on integrating the X11R6.4 changes into XFree86 4.0; that will
be available to allow you to upgrade once the task is complete.
