Anybody know how to change the mouse pointer in the Root Menu from the
horizontal arrow to a
diagonal arrow. The same arrow as when the pointer is on the titlebar.
I am using FVWM (1.??) with Slackware.
Have a look at the file: /usr/X11R6/include/X11/cursorfont.h . This gives aQuote:>Anybody know how to change the mouse pointer in the Root Menu from the

Exec xsetroot -cursor_name pencil
This will make the cursor appear as a pencil (the actual line in
cursorfont.h is: #define XC_pencil 86 . Remove the `XC_'.
Also, according to the man page for xsetroot, you can use bitmaps for this.
I've never tried it.
Best of luck

Is it possible, when using KDE3.0.3 (Mandrake 9.0 is the distro) to change
the default black mouse pointer to something more elegant? Or is this a
hard-wired limitation of X11?
FWIW, I'm using IceWM as a Window Manager.
