Does anyone know if an RPM package has been made for the latest XFree86
distribution, & if so where it's located? I know where to find all the
necessary files on the 'net, but it sure would be easier if they were all in
one package ready to install (RedHat sure has spoiled me...) Thanks in
advance--

1. FreeBSD 2.1.5 + Gateway 2000 + Xfree86 v3.12 OR v3.2 crash host.
Howdy,
I have a strange problem with Xfree86 crashing a Gateway 2000. The
Gateway and Mach64 are both brand new. Manufacture date of the video
card is about 10 days before the release date of Xfree86 v3.2. When
I start any of the servers( mono,vga,mach64 ) the screen blanks and a
few seconds later the host goes thru the CMOS tests as if I had just
turned on power.
I figured I had an unsupported card so I installed a Jaton svga card
I use at home with freebsd 2.1.5 and xfree86 3.12. Behaviour is now
slightly different in that I get a few seconds of scrambled video
before the machine dies...all servers I try crash the host.
Both cards are PCI, Plug and Play is disabled. Any advice/ideas would
be appreciated.
