Seems ATI has yet another chipset out, may only be supported by xf
3.1.2d *beta*, while I see no indication of #9 problems.
Make sure you have a good return policy.
My experience with ATI Winturbo (VRAM Mach64, like GPT)
is that it is impossible to control size/placement via software (no EPROM
on the vid card). Win95 drivers do allow this, but only W95 drivers!
(well, if you're using dos/win it can change your command.com to
make it work)
For OS/2 and Linux I rely on my monitor's ability to store separate size/
position info for every resolution/refresh/depth setting!!!
