Hi all:

I am using fvwm and I would to find out how to get a window thats
in the backround into the forground when I move the mouse pointer into
it. I seem to remember something about auto-raise. Can anyone lend a hand.

thanks
eddie

Put line to your ~/.fvwmrc:
AutoRaise 1000

remove the comment in your .fvwmrc file.  If you do not have a .fvwmrc then
check for ???/lib/X11/fvwm/system.fvwmrc where ever your X lives.

# Set windows to auto-raise after 750 milliseconds if you like it.
# Autoraise can sometimes obscure pop-up windows. Performance is now
# similar to olvwm's auto-raise feature.
#AutoRaise 750
