Please help my eyes are killing me. Okay, everyone has asked this a thousand
times I am sure . . . Is it so impossible for me to get a clear higher
resolution image. I have tried numerous things, but I end up with a slightly
blurred 800x600. I can view higher resolution screens, but for some reason
they are not mapped (?) properly to my display. The viewport is larger than
my monitor!?! How can this be adjusted. I don't like having to push the
edges of the display to find something. I want to see it all. I really love
Linux and X Windows, but the video driver/video mode stuff drives me nuts.
BTW, I did follow the Intel 810 Chipset Family Linux Graphics Release Notes
provided by Intel. Yippy!! I could get my X Windows to start after I did
that. So I re-ran /usr/X11R6/bin/SaX2 to attempt to restore things. Which
somewhat worked, but now my 800x600 display is the worst of the bunch (super
fuzzy). It sounds like I need the 'agpgart.o' module installed to properly
support the higher resolutions.
Thanks in advance,
