How many colors are you using? What server? Chaning the frequencies should
not affect the colors, nor cause the weird probelms you are describing. I
don't know your card, but I'll assume that it is supported, and that you are
using the correct server.
Many programs do not deal with 24bpp color correctly. Netscape is one which
has trouble -- this may be server-dependent, though. Try 16bpp and see if
that helps, or you might try 32bpp if you have serious graphics needs and a
fast enough card.
