European Diamond Viper V330 (Riva 128) blocks X-Server of Red Hat 5.1

If have an European version of Diamond Viper V330.
It blocks my X-Server if I start startx.
Did anyone knows a X-Server that works?

I don't know the actual version-number I use, but I know that the Riva128
Support is included in XSVGA.

Please help,

Can I run Red Hat Linux 4.1 with a Diamond Viper V330 video card? I saw that
the nVidia NV1/SGS-Thomson STG2000 chip is supported by XFree86 3.2, but I
can't tell if that's the same as the RIVA128's 2D subsystem. Is anyone using
Linux with a Diamond Viper V330 video card? Thanks,
