Problem with ATI 3D RAGE LT PRO AGP 2x

Post by Sebastián Sánchez Priet » Thu, 15 Jul 1999 04:00:00

Hi,

I can not configure X-Window on a Mitac laptop with a TFT 14,1" display.
I've been configuring X without success, I think the problem is the
Monitor section on XF86Config. I've tried different modelines, but ...
no chance!!!

Any suggestion?

Un saludo

I've got the same problems with a Siemens laptop (ati 3d rage lt pro).

There is no support for this card at the moment
(http://www.xfree86.org/3.3.3.1/Mach64.html).

There shout be same commercial ones (Accelerated-X (ab Version 5.0)).

And I found page, perhaps one with a solution. But I haven't checked it,
now (http://www.eecs.umich.edu/~steveh/inspiron/).

Ciao, Henning

I've heard of varying levels of success with these options.  I can tell you
for sure that the Accelerated Laptop Server from www.xig.com does work very
well with this chipset, but it is an expensive commercial product.
I'm running it on a new Dell Inspiron 7000 with the 15" screen.
