If it helps I'm using a ATI Rage IIC card at 1280x1024 at 32 bpp.

Horizontal 30 - 95 kHz
Vertical 50 - 150 Hz
run xvidtune from an xterm or rxvt to get new modelines setting if your
screen is not centered. Insert the no modelines into your XF86Config.

1. Redhat 7.2 travan 20 gig drive and 10/20 tapes
i assume there is nothing special needed to be done with a new seagate
20 gig travan drive, other than installing the hardware? i currently
have a 4/8 gig drive working just fine on /dev/ht0 other than size
being abysmally small.
i just plain gzip -9 | tar cvf /dev/ht0 /backup (nfs mount)
seem reasonable?
or, i guess setnev GZIP -9; tar xvfz /dev/ht0 /backup
