Arena 0.97h and gif display problems

Post by Claude Massero » Wed, 30 Oct 1996 04:00:00

I have just installed RedHat Linux 3.0.3 on a TI laptop, and am
having a few problems with displaying gif's etc. in Arena 0.97h. The
screen is a VGA and I'm running it at 640x480. However all images in
Arena, seem to be distorted or duplicated. (Distorted means streched to
the right, however the amount of distortion varies across the image. The
duplicated image appears to the right of the first image) I checked out
the Arena www help page, but couldn't see anything in the FAQ etc about
this.
Nothing in the start commands seems to be relevant. Is this an Arena
problem, or a problem with my X setup?
Any help or a direction in which to look/investigate would be
appreciated.

Regards

Arena is far from perfect, hence it is no longer being developed.

You must use 8 bits per pixel (bpp), or 256 pseudo-colour mode.
You will have problems at any other depth.
