A question about xset and the Frame Buffer Device

A question about xset and the Frame Buffer Device

Post by sgalla.. » Thu, 20 Apr 2000 04:00:00

Hi folks,

I am running Debian 2.2 (code name Potato) on an IBM 300PL with an S3
Trio3D video card/monitor.  I am running XFree86 3.3.6 and using the FBDev
x-server because this video chip is not well supported (chip id 86C366).

My problem is this:  the Screen Saver never activates.  It is set for
a ten minute delay, but it never kicks in.  Even if I type the 'xset s
activate' command it just returns.

Any thoughts, ideas, and/or solutions will be appreciated.

Thanks for your time,

scottg
