by Howdy...when I try to run X in 16bit color mode, it seems like the display
is smaller than your average 1024x768 ... I run it in 8bpp in 1280x1024 and
it seems 'big' enough, but when I run the 16bpp it just seems like it's
somwehere between 1024x768 and 800x600.
For example, I run netscape and it is 'taller' than my screen.
Are there any ways I could tweak X so that my display seems like a real
1024x768? Is there a reason Netscape and other apps (say Xboard) don't fit
on this screen?
