Roger:

I'm note sure about the ISA versions, but I just got a PCI ATI Mach64
Graphics Expression with the CT chipset.  If your card has this you
won't get it to work until you get the latest beta from XFree86.

Are you using the latest Beta release of XFree86 ( 3.1.2B )? It has
more support for Mach64-based cards. I'm running the PCI version of
your card just fine. You can get an upgrade at ftp.xfree86.org

You didn't list any data about your hardware/memory configuration;
there are a couple possible problem areas here.

1)  It would be very useful to know your hardware setup.  How
much memory.  What cpu? etc., etc., etc...

2)  What Linux distribution?  Slackware v3, Red Hat v2.1, Debian?
or what?  Which version of XFree86?  v3.1.1/v3.1.2/v3.1.2B or
    what?

3)  You may need to upgrade your X installation &/or drivers, possibly
    to the v3.1.2B release.

4)  It is also possible that you have > 16Mb of RAM in your system.
If this is the case, you will _NOT_ get the Mach64 drivers to
work with your system; there is an aperture problem which is
discussed in the FAQ.  In that case, I'd suggest you try the
X-Inside Accelerated-X demo & see if it works.  If it does the
job for you, I'd consider purchasing that or the Caldera
desktop package, which apparantly includes the Accelerated-X
drivers, and gives you a rather nice environment, also.  This
would have the advantage of also giving you Red Hat v2.1, a
    very nice distribution release.

5)  If I can possibly help, email me, and good luck.
