Trident card + TFT LCD running X

Post by robert body 9308 » Fri, 20 Jun 1997 04:00:00

Does someone has a setup for Trident 9660 (TGUI) ?

I am using a laptop with TFT display, can go up to 800x600 at 60Hz [at
least] - that's what Win95 uses.

Dear Robert,

Here's what I'm using with an IBM thinkpad 560 (trident
* 9385, which pretends to be the 9660). I'm using this
with Xfree 3.3. Good luck.
        http://www.veryComputer.com/~tdarugar/docs/tp560.html
has some information also.

Best,
        Tony

1. Laptop running X with a TFT LCD

I'm currently trying to get a Dell Latitude XPi CD laptop to run X.
I've been to the laptop site at UT.  According to it, I should not be
able to even initialize an X server.  However, I have the X server run in
320x200 mode.  Unfortunately, I need to get it running in at least 640x480.
800x600 would be fantastic, but 640x480 should be fine.  The laptop has a
NeoMagic MagicGraph 128V with 1MB on card.  Is this a lost cause?

Also, does anyone know what to set a TFT LCD to??  As far as Dell Tech Support
is concern, there is no refresh rate.  However, xf86config needs refresh rates.
Any suggestions there?

Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
