XFree Virtual Screen Size

XFree Virtual Screen Size

Post by Andrew Morr » Thu, 19 Jan 1995 05:27:43

I posted this problem to comp.os.linux.setup, and just thought I should have
cross posted - oh well..  Anyways, here's the problem I'm having.  Maybe
someone out there has a way to fix this.

<From comp.os.linux.setup>

1) The virtual window size under XFree386.  I have an ATI Mach32 with 2Meg
of VRAM, and well it claims that I have to have my virtual window size set
to the largest resolution I'm using.  Now, I can achieve 1404x1024 (custom
config), but on my little 14" monitor that's tooo small to read, so I usually
run at 800x600 or 1024x768.  Anyways, to make a long story short, is there
a way to remove the annoying virtual window size (I'm not talking about the
pager under fvwm) under Xfree?

Thanks for any/all the help that you can give me.
