I suspect that all will be ok if you download it all again. Use bin mode, if
you didn't last time. You must have got a corruption somewhere along the line.

1. Help with Linuxxdoom (please)

Here's the problem:

When I start Linuxxdoom I get this:

                     DOOM System Startup v1.666
V_Init: allocate screens.
M_LoadDefaults: Load system defaults.

And that's it...I have tried everything I could think of.  I re-compiled
the kernel with/without sound, networking, etc.  I got the 2.9 sound
drivers, upgraded to XFree.2.1.1, etc.

My configuration is as follows:
486/66 w/16megs
Orchid VA/VLB
Linux 1.1.45
Proaudio Spectrum 16
Toshiba 2x CD ROM  <- I don't think this matters

If anyone knows what the problem is here, please let me know.  I would
really like to have another reason to send MS-DOG on an extended vacation.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.
