I've been trying to install Linux from a slackware cd. But when it
wants to actually get down to installing it can't find my cd-rom.
I've tried selecting every option it allows, but none work. Is it
possible that my cd is simply no supported. That would seam pretty
weird. I'm using a 2 speed NEC in a Gateway 2000. Please e-mail.

Insert the bootdisk and at the prompt type

hdc=cdrom

this might help you install Linux off the CD.
