I am using a Mitac notebook with a vga-controller (Trident
9685/9680/9682/9385/9382/9385 PCI regarding to windows 98).
Under installation of redhat 5.2 linux found the * 9385 and fails init.
the vga-controller and uses cga instead. Why cant I use VGA ???????????

I got an old Compaq 460 monitor (CGA) and would like to use it with an
CL5424 VGA card to enable a low-end ;-) X-Window system on my 486DX2.
If possible, what X-Server and further configuration setting should
work?
