Does anyone know how to get 1024x768 or higher resolution running
XFree86?  I've managed to get it to 800x600 by modifying a line in the
XF86Config file.  However, after trying without success I do not know
what to set the modeline to.  I changed the following line for 800x600:

ModeLine "800x600"    36    800    824    896    1024    600    601
603    625

to

ModeLine "800x600"    36    800    823    896    1024    600    601
603    625

the next line reads:

ModeLine "1024x768"    44.9    1024    1048    1208    1264    768
776    784    817    Interlace

Do I change this line or another line.  I do not want interlaced
scanning.  My monitor is a multisync capable of scanning frequencies up
to 100 kHz.

Please help?  Thanks.

This is a known issue.  I personally have not seen 1024x768 working as I
expect.  I can tell you that Cyrix _is_ helping Xfree with this particular
problem.  It might even show up in version 3.3.4 (if all the moons align,
etc... ;-)

The FAQ will be the first place the information is posted.  And since I
have seen so many requests for guess-timates, I would suggest that
July is probably a good starting point ;-).
