Has anyone gotten X to work on a Compaq Deskpro 2000
with integrated vga ?

The card is a:
S3 Trio64 V2/GX Integrated PCI Graphics Controller
Accleration 2D GUI, 135 MHz RAMDAC
Memory 1 MB 60 ns SGRAM with upgrade to 2 MB available

SuperProbe tells me:

Chipset: S3 (chipset unknown) (Port Probed)
Signature data: e1890114 (please report)
Memory: 1024 Kbytes
RAMDAC: Generic 8-bit pseudo-color DAC
(with 6-bit wide lookup tables (or in 6-bit mode))

2.0.29 kernel with XFree86 Version 3.2

I have tried XF86Setup with the S3 and S3V servers, both fail.

Since SuperProbe tells me to ..(please report).. where do I
report to ?

Hello there
I have to be honest and say I know little about linux and X
however I do know that the S3 chip producers web site do have somewhere
on it a dos utility that will tell you which chip your card uses.I don't
know if that is too much help but I thought I'd mention it.
