How do I get my Xfree86 to work with my Voodoo3 2000 PCI?
I am quite new to Linux and it looks like this problem is too
hard for my own little brain. =)
Thanks for any assistance!
Which distribution are you using? If you use Redhat 6.0 or above, you can
type XConfigurator in the command line to configure your display card.
Otherwise, type XF86Setup or xf86config to try.
(But Voodoo 3 are only supported by XFree86 3.3.5 or above)

I just installed Caldera Open Linux 2.2, but my X windows does not
appear to be set up correctly. I've got a Voodoo3 2000 PCI video card.
I downloaded the new X server rpms for Voodoo3, but when I tried to "rpm
-Uvh XFree86_3DFXXF86Setup-3.3.3-5" I get a dependency error:
libtcl.so is needed by XFree86_3DFX-XF86Setup-3.3.3-5
libtk.so is needed by XFree86_3DFX-XF86Setup-3.3.3-5
How can I get these libraries loaded? Or do I need to? Does anyone
know how to set up the X congif file for a Voodoo3 2000 PCI? (The
server rpm loaded without a problem).
