I have a philips cm206 cd-rom.I have installed Linux with is boot and
is root disk.(slackware 2.3,kernel 1.2.8).When I boot Linux don't find
the IRQ of my card. After a hard disk installation, I find a patch for
my cd-rom(cm206.diff-1.2.11-0.33b) I patch my kernel I make all the
step i read in the Readme.Recompile my kernel, after compiling my
kernel, I try to mount my cd-rom and I have a message that is not a
valid block device.OK, now I have change the value of cm206_base and
cm206_irq in the file cm206.c and turn autoprobing off.again I have a
message that is not a valid block device.I have restart all the
process five time and recompile my kernel five times.Again is not a
valid block device.
Anyone who can help ?
