I believe this is a Windows 95 only printer so you won't
have any luck getting linux to use it.

Hi!

I am using this printer for a couple of week, and actually it is
working with a magicfilter and gs.

However I am looking for a complete set of the PCL commands
(I haven't crossposted my message in comp.periphs.printers here)

For information the hp dj820 is win printer not the 870 .

No, the 820 is Windows-only. The 870C's can use the 850 patch for gs.
This patch can be downloaded from the same place where you get
ghostscript.

NO!

The HP DeskJet 870Cxi (HP model-number C4555A) works fine with Ghostscript,
it's an excellent printer and you can download an improved gs driver for this
device-class at <http://bonk.ethz.ch>

It's the DeskJet 820Cxi which is the Windows-printer, you better forget about
this special piece of hardware...
