Post by Eric Lebe » Sun, 03 Jun 2001 01:16:26

I have two D-LINK DFE-530TX one is REV A1 (which work fine
with the
via_rhine) and one is REV A3 (doesn't seem to work)

I use kernel release 2.2.18.

Any Idea?

This seems so have an answer to this problem.  In short, you may have to
upgrade to a 2.4 kernel.

DLINK problem

The Dlinks are 8139 clones.  I have seen this with the Rev C1s and D1s.  RH
6.2 out of the box doesn't recognize the D1s.  It looks like they changed
the PCI addressing.  Compile the driver that comes with them and install it.
Both should work fine with that driver installed.

I solve the problem by using the 2.2.19 kernel !  ;-)
