invisible netcard

Hello everybody,

I have just installed my first linux (caldera 2.3 eserver) and I have a
problem. Linux can't recognize my netcard 3c509. I can't see it in the
/proc/intrerrupts or /proc/ioports files, however card is properly in
motherboard, because my dos-programs can configure it.

How can I make it visible and my connections working??

thanks,

Arto

This is a pretty happy card, it has a 4.5 out of 5.0 rating in LhD.
Look at this link, I think it will be helpful:

3c509 should come with some kind of configuration disc to set it into ISA or
PnP mode. I could not get mine to work at first, it was in PnP mode. So I
switched it to ISA and it worked fine. The settings might not be the same
for you, but I set it to 0x310 and IRQ 10.

BTW the setup program I used needed DOS. Hope that helps.
