D-Link DFE-530TX 10/100 NIC supported?

Post by Richard H. Almquis » Sat, 22 Aug 1998 04:00:00

Hi,

The Ethernet-HOWTO doesn't list this card but it uses the DEC 21140
chip so I think it may work with linux. Can anyone confirm this?

For a two node network, can I use a crossover cable instead of a hub?

Is there any advantage to a hub other than supporting more nodes?

Thanks
Richard Almquist

I've found that it is supported (vr0), but I'm actually have
a hardware /bios detection problem.  Still need help with Samba however.
