Hi, all. I'm having some problems getting linux to recognize my Sanyo
H94A CD-ROM. I have a sounblaster 16, which it's hooked up to. I'm
using a recent version of slackware bootdisk, asjcd.
When I boot up, it says something like: can't find device on 0x340
(the port default). Since I'm running the CD-ROM from the
soundblaster, I have the default port set up to be 0x220 (according to
my autoexec.bat file). So when I try to set up, I say something like:
ramdisk sjcd=0x220
and then the system says something like: can't find device on 0x220.
My CD works fine from DOS.
and I'm stumped. Any idea at all for what I could do or try?
many thanks for any help!
