netwinder, usenet group, USB

Post by Dan Hi » Tue, 30 Nov 1999 04:00:00

What is the best newsgroup on which to post questions about or discuss
the netwinder?  This group seems very busy, and maybe the netwinder
is too specialized for discussion here?

My question is whether there is a pre-built linux system which has a
very small footprint (or is rackmounted), and which is inexpensive,
and which comes with a USB port.  (The netwinder is very sleek, small,
inexpensive, and is a pre-built linux system, but as far as i know
does not have a USB port---at least the small unit doesn't.  The more
PC-clone style larger units do, i believe.  But anybody please correct
me if i'm wrong.)

Thanks in advance for any pointers to newsgroups . . .

1. Gnome - Why No Usenet Group?

There is a comp.windows.x.kde

Why isn't there a comp.windows.x.gnome ?

It would help with support.

Its time consuming when you have a question to find the mailing list,
subscribe to the mailing list, post your question, get your answer,
and then unsubscribe from the mailing list.

Just a thought for someone who has the time and energy to wrestle with
the usenet people to get such a group established.....call
it...."linux advocacy" :)
