ALSA works, used it with mine. Make sure all & I mean ALL the modules
are loaded and make sure that OSS is loaded as well. You will need to
compile all of these yourself. Next, follow the examples for your
sound card in editing the conf.modules file.
Lastly, make sure you bring up any kind of mixer (xmixer) and raise the
volume. By default, the volume is down to zero or mute. Luck!
