Linux 1.2.11/FC-20/Jumbo 250/Ftape=Screw

I'm trying to get a Colorado 250 up and working with FTAPE under 1.2.11 -
the problem is thus:

I follow all the directions and everything seems to work fine, however when
I do an lsmod, I get a message telling me the are 47 pages and ftape is
loaded but it is used by "uninitialized".  Also when the module is loaded
it tells me at the end, "segmentation fault".

I've tried compiling again and again, with different configs to no avail..

(oh its Ftape 2.03b - although I also tried Ftape 2.02)

Any help? Please!

Are you using modules-1.2.8 ?  If not, get that from
sunsite.unc.edu:/pub/Linux/kernel/v1.2/modules-1.2.8.tar.gz.
DO NOT, repeat, DO NOT replace any of the files in the modules-1.2.8
package with any from the ftape-2.03b package.  Compile/install the
modules package, then recompile ftape.  Should work.  Works for me
(ftape-2.03b, modules-1.2.8, kernel-1.2.11).

I have ftape 2.02e, and the docs say the FC-20 (and the TC-15, as well as
some other boards) is not supported due to some communication conflicts
between Colorado and the code author.  The FC-10 is, however, supported.

If I'm wrong, it's because FC-20 support is in ftape 2.03.

1. ftape 1.13b and Colorado FC-20 + Jumbo 250

Hi,

does anybody know, how to run an Colorado Jumbo 250 with an Jumbo FC-20?
I' ve compiled the ftape several times with serveral options (Select FC-10,
additional FC and s. o.), but none of them works with my streamer.
(modutils find only my normal FC).

thanks for any help.
